My mum returned from her seaside break, with one of her friends coming back to stay overnight too.
I had made the most of her break to be able to play my new music mix-tapes out loudly, checking sound quality for their use in pending radio shows. That’s not a luxury I have for a while now.
In the evening I was out drinking with friends at our fortnightly science fiction group gathering, at a bar called The Bank which is getting much busier now in the office party pre-Xmas period.
One friend gave me a spare Curtis Mayfield CD he had, while another pal had a spare copy of a DVD collection of a TV series called Justified which I have never seen or even heard of before. I look forward to watching that.
I got a lift home after the meeting which was very welcome. Many of my friends are away to the Novacon science fiction convention this weekend. Hope they have fun. Wish I could be there too.
