I woke up yesterday morning knowing I was going to have a day lounging around watching rubbishy films. Flicking through what was on I found An American Tail, an old cartoon by Don Bluth. I really love his old cartoons. I was so excited this was on! Although I do think I prefer The Secret of Nimh, it's a bit darker. I really miss the old animation of cartoons. Some of the new ones are ok, but for me no one beats Don Bluth. His old cartoons are absolutely beautiful. He also made The land before time. I started watching the new movie Walking with Dinosaurs yesterday, and yeah while the cgi is impressive I just thought, as dinosaur films go, The land before time wins for me!
