Well, I say finished, but tomorrow while the kids are at school, I'll be playing mahjong with the ornaments, trying to rearrange them so they're evenly distributed and not hanging in the perfect spots to tempt the cats!
We always let the kids have free reign over hanging the ornaments, but they're not great at not clumping them all in one spot or barely hanging them at all. I used to be all anxious about it, but then I realized I'm going to spend the next week or so switching them all around anyway! They had fun doing it and that's really all that matters!
We got to reminisce over all the "baby's first Christmas" and homemade ornaments, the ones that we bought when we had foreign exchange students and added their memories to our tree, ones from my own childhood and even my Zeta Tau Alpha one from my sorority days. Our tree is full of years and years of wonderful memories!
And tonight before the hubs and I go to bed, we'll be pulling out the "Elf on the Shelf" and having him Tee Pee the tree! I can't wait to see the look on the kids' faces in the morning!
