The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. It sounds pretty impressive doesn't it. Well it is. It located in the wine country in northern California. Just above Napa. It is in St. Helena, California USA. It is a stone building. It was built from 1886 to 1889. Greystone Cellers is the largest winery in California. In 1945 Christian Bros. purchased the property. They made sparkling wine from 1950 - 1989. It was sold and rebought by the Culinary Institute in 1993 and opened the school in 1995 after a large renovation. Including its culinary it also has baking and pastry arts. You can actually go in behind a glass window and observe there classes. I have dined at the Greystone Restaurant where they pair your wine with your meals. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places.
