The weather is changing. It's been sunny and warm, but now it's cloudy and cold. I was outside picking the last few tomatoes off the vine, when I heard a cat's loud meow. It sounded like a cry for help, so I called "Kitty, Kitty."
My dogs had all perked up at the sound, and I knew that if a cat came, they would chase it, so I put them in the house. By the time I came back out, the cat was standing on my doorstep.
She a small Russian Blue, she looks about half-grown. She appears to be in good health, but she was hungry and thirsty. She's very affectionate toward me. The purring began as soon as I touched her.
The kitty may like me, but she does not like dogs, or other cats. This is a problem, because we have three other cats, and five dogs, between my mom and me.
I will post signs in the neighborhood, and put an ad in the paper, and on Craigslist. Luckily, I have a room where I can keep her separated from the other animals until her owner shows up, or I find another solution.
